LINKCell®
LINKCell® fibers utilize safe and environmentally friendly organic solvents to dissolve plant fibers and fermented spider silk proteins.
Due to the complementary nature of their structures, the proteins and plant fibers spontaneously undergo mutual cross-linking and fusion.
1/OUR Product:LINKCell®
LINKCell® integrates spider silk proteins with natural plant fibers. We utilize fast-growing timber and bamboo pulp, and in the future, spider silk proteins will be combined with straw and agricultural waste, further promoting sustainable development for the planet.
Fibers are produced using wet spinning, with solvent recovery rates exceeding 99%, resulting in no pollutant emissions and ensuring safety and environmental sustainability.
2/ Material Performance Characteristics of LINKCell®
The engineered spider silk proteins tightly bond with plant fiber molecules. While enhancing the fiber's strength, they significantly improve abrasion resistance, fineness, and luster, and impart protein functionalities such as skin care benefits.
LINKCell® short fibers can be spun independently to produce yarns of various finenesses and specifications, featuring a unique luster and delicate texture. They can be blended with polyester, cotton, wool, and other fibers to accommodate diverse apparel styles.
Application areas
LINKCell® fibers are characterized by high strength, excellent tensile and tear resistance, and superior abrasion durability. Additionally, they offer a silky smooth softness and a skin-friendly texture. The spider silk protein imparts anti-inflammatory and soothing properties to the fibers, making them suitable for a wide range of intimate applications, including those for infants.
Note: The protein content in LINKCell® fibers can range from 1% to 50%. This table represents the specifications for a particular product. The performance characteristics of the fibers may vary depending on the protein content and fiber specifications.
